Will a blood pregnancy test be accurate on day 26 of my cycle?

7

I had an IUI on day Dec.11th and I'm supposed to have my blood test on Dec.21 because my doctor is going out of town. I was worried that it might be to early to detect HCG or are blood tests more sensitive than the urine tests?
I usually have a 27-28 day cycle.

Yes, that’s the most accurate one.

It certainly should be. I had a blood test around day 18 or 19 of my cycle and it was accurate. Blood tests are certainly more sensitive than home pregnancy tests.

It doesnt matter what day it is of your cycle. If you are pregnant then the test will tell you that you are. A blood test is more accurate than a urine test but nothings stopping you from doing a home test today, go for it

Yes, it should be accurate. I only have 26 days in my cycle so I found out sooner at like day 18. So yes a blood test will predict it for you. Good luck.

you should get your answer correctly

It is more accurate and will be able to work on day 26. It’s only 2 days before you would get your period! Some urine pregnancy tests can test then!

I had a blood test 8 or 9 days after conception and it was negative. Actually, it was inconclusive. A blood test will measure your HCG level. If it is under 10, you’re not pregnant. If it is between 11 and 25, it is inconclusive. Over 25 is definitely pregnant. Mine was 25 after 8 or 9 days. I went back 5 days later and it was up to 366. If you are pregnant, I would guess your HCG would be around 10-50. If it is, I would take that as a very good sign. If you weren’t successful this time, it would be under 10. The doctor will not consider you pregnant until your HCG level is above 25, but you’ll have a pretty good idea if it’s over 10. A home test measures the same level, but even the earliest detection kits can’t measure positive until your level is over 25. Some as high as 100. Don’t even bother taking those tests now. But… if your blood test shows an inconclusive level (10-25), take a home test in a few days and it should be positive. Your HCG level should double every 48 hours. My home test was positive about 10-11 days after conception, and that was early. Best of luck!!!
