Is it too early for a blood pregnancy test?
Went to the Dr's today and she recommended that I have a blood pregnancy test @ the earliest on the 16th January. The 'incident' occurred on the 6th January and I made an appointment for the blood test to be scheduled on the 18th January which is a Friday. Do you think this is too early? Should I change the date of the blood test just in case it is too early? I don't expect to wait until around until my period due because I did take the morning after pill and this may delay my period futher. All advice is good!

Well the incident was only yesterday. If the doctor said you can test by the 16th, and the appt is for the 18th, then you should be fine.
I think a blood pregnancy test can detect pregnancy as early as 8 days after ovulation, but sometimes an embryo will not implant until 10 days past ovulation. So it should be accurate. I took a regular home pregnancy test at 10 days past ovulation and got a positive so it’s definatly possible. good luck
A blood test I think is good within 3 days of conception. Whne I was prego with my daughter it showed up when i was 2 weeks prego. And pee test never showed up positive..even the day i had her! u can go now and the test of your blood shal be accurate.
i got pregnant at the end of july, at the end of aug. i went to the hospital for some test. before they could run the test they had to do a blood pregnancy test to confirm that i wasn’t pregnant it came back neg. oct. i found out that i got preg. about july 21st so u might want to wait a little while
For my blood test I was 13 days past ovulation so that really shouldn’t be too soon.
