Is it possible for a blood pregnancy test to come up false?
I had a blood test done a few days after I had intercourse with my boyfriend without a condom. Could it be possible it may have been too early for the doctors to know for sure?

A few days is too early to know. You should wait a couple of weeks.
It would need to be done closer to 2 weeks after the intercourse so yes it is possible it was false. You should get them to do a redraw closer to the 2 week point.
I believe it takes 14 days after intercourse for a blood test to be accurate.
Yeah it’s way too early, do it again in a week or two weeks.
Yes. I had a inconcluse blood test being a week late but I was definately pregnant. Wait till like cycle day 40 and take a HPT.
you may have tested to early.
Uh yeah if you got a blood test only a few days after intercourse, it would have been way too early. Your body does not start producing hcg, the pregnancy hormone, until after implantation. Implantation happens around 5-7 days after conception. So the blood test would not register any hcg at the time you got it done.
A few days after sex you probably hadn’t implanted, and you are not pregnant until the egg implants (if it does). You need to wait until you miss your period, any results prior to that could result in a false positive (chemical pregnancy) or a false negative result. Good luck.
