How quickly could you get the results of a blood pregnancy test?
This is research for a fictional book I'm writing. What equipment do you need to get the results of a blood pregnancy test, and how quickly could you get them? Eg, if a doctor took blood from someone could he feasibly do the test and get the result there and then, while she was waiting? I realise this is an unlikely scenario - I just want to know if it would be possible.

Whenever I have had a blood pregnancy test, I was always told they would get back with me in 2 hrs. So I don’t know if it takes time to read, or if that’s just how long it takes them to get around to it.
I got mine back within an hour, and I’m told that most of that was waiting for the lab staff to get to it.
