How long does it take for a regular blood pregnancy test to show you’re pregnant?
I have had "every other week" periods for 1 1/2 years, like clock work every other Sunday, and am now almost 4 weeks late. Up until last week I have taken 3 home tests, all negative, and a blood test at my dr office last week, also negative. I am having a lot of symptoms like nausea, slight cramps, tender breasts , etc. I don't know if I should try another blood test or should stick with my negative answers.
yes I've seen 4 doctors about my 2x's a month period and none of them can help. I've been put on several different things to regulate me and nothing worked.
it was my reg. dr that did the preg. test, but it was obgyn's & specialist that checked into my bleeding problems. i've had 6 papsmears, 3 ultrasounds, & every blood test imaginable within the past year and half and every one that i have seen tells me that everything looks fine & normal.

i would take the test one more time at 5 n a half weeks your body usually dosnt get the right hcg levels for pregnancy until after the 5th week of being pregnant. but you could just be so stressed about the idea that your body is reacting by giving you the false symptoms of pregnancy which is pretty common when stressing about it.
A blood test can tell you’re pregnant very early so unless you got pregnant very recently then it would’ve shown. Every other week for a period is not normal. Maybe your body is going through a change. Did you ever see a doctor about your frequent periods.
A blood test would’ve shown last week. I was 8 days late when I showed up on both a HPT and a blood test. I think you may have another issue going on and need to follow up on other possibilities.
I am in the Medical Field
Where the Dr.’s GYN’s or General Practitioners?
If you are having periods every other week you are having hormone fluctuations not pregnancy symptoms
Have you been checked by a GYN for PCOS or Endometriosis and have you had a PAP recently?
If Not I suggest that you do ASAP
