How long after conception does it take HCG (pregnancy hormone) to show up in a blood test?
Just wondering how long after sex (conception) you should wait to take a blood pregnancy test.

About a week after conception. But realize that conception may not occur on the date of the sex act. Sperm can live up to five days inside you, so conception may actually occur a few days after sex.
three weeks is what any doctor will tell you. x
AFTER YOUR 1ST MISSED PERIOD.
If you think that you know when you conceived you should wait at least ten days(anywhere from 7-10 days to be exact)
But be careful some woman don’t produce enough HCG in the early part of the pregnancy, so try and do the blood test later if you can. After about 7 days after conceived the embryo could have attached it self and might take a while for your body to start showing a significant amount of HCG( HCG starts producing and virtually doubling every two days or so after the placenta has started to produce)
I wish you luck!
