Fertility test? help please?..?
I'm planning on buying a fertility test at walmart its the first response one, would I get a good answer from it?...and how would I know what the result is? How can I tell if I am fertile and what day would I know that I am fertile? Also how can I know if my husband is fertile too?...Please help its my first test!

You take it an the 3rd day of your period, first morning urine. Basically it tells you how much FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) you have – which is I guess what helps the follicles release the eggs. The test instructions in the box tell you what to look for, and what is a good/bad result. However, just because it comes back OK, doesn’t mean EVERYTHING is OK. There are lots of other things that come into play with fetility – estrogen, progesterone, luteinizing hormone… But if it comes back “not OK” then it gives you a place to start. I took one which said I was fine, but I am going on month 10 TTC…
Not sure there are any OTC ways to check hubbies fertility except through a clinic. If there are, they probably only look at one variable as well when there are multiple.
Kinda stinks, but the surest way to find out if everything is OK is to talk to your doc. That is my next step – taking ovulation predictor kits and checking basal temps this month to see if I am even ovulating…
