Fertility test and the depo shot??? PLEASE HELP?
My last depo shot was in January 2009. In September I took a fertility test and it said positive, that i was again fertile. I just got my first period since the test i took. will i be able to get pregnant now?
i also did an ovulation calender and had unprotected sex once a day everday for 1 and a half weeks with my husband to make sure we did it in time when the eggs were dropped.

I don’t know the answer, but I have about 1 week left on the depo-shot and want to conceive again soon. I am going through about the same thing. Good Luck to you! =]

It sounds like you may be ovulating again now. I just got off the pill a week ago and we’re planning on trying to conceive. All of the books and websites say that you can get pregnant as soon as you ovulate again. It is possible to get your period BEFORE you ovulate, but if you took fertility tests that claim you’re ovulating and this was followed by a period, then it’s very possible to get pregnant now.
Of course, there’s only usually about 12-24 hours each month that your egg(s) can be fertilized, so it’s not always going to happen as quickly as right after your first period. It takes the average couple 6-12 months to conceive, but at least you’re to the next step after your depo shots.
If you’re trying to conceive, I would recommend reading the book “what to expect before you’re expecting” and then once you’re pregnant, “what to expect when you’re expecting”. They’ve been helpful to me and are highly recommended (even by physicians).
Good Luck!
