All an FSH test strip is going to do is measure your Follicle Stimulating Hormone. If you have an elevated reading it “might” mean that there is an issue with your egg count or quality. Some issues can be treated – bottom line, you should simply see your doctor for a check up and not spend your time trying to self-diagnose things.

I would not waste my time – this is just one small piece of your fertility and is not an accurate way to tell if you can have children or not. Doctors test you on FSH on certain cycle days to see if it is increasing normal and they measure it via blood test to get a more accurate reading, they check your TSH – which is thyroid function, they check your progesterone to see if you are ovulating normally, they may do an HSG to check your tubes for blockage, a semen analysis for your husband as it is NOT always the woman with the issue etc . . . .Irregular cycles are commonly caused by things like PCOS, low progesterone levels, ovulation issues etc . . . these things would not be measured by an FSH test strip. You cannot tell whether or not you have blockage from these strips etc . . .

A FSH test strip is not going to “help” you conceive in any way. It is not going to “fix” having an irregular cycle. You could try OPK (ovulation predictor kit) to see if you are ovulating – if you detect an LH surge, they you are probably ovulating and should have sex soon . . . this is more useful when ttc.

Bottom line, if you detect an issue with FSH, you will need to see a docor and go through testing anyways and seek treatment . . . I would not waste my time or money, just call your doctor and discuss your irregular cycles.

Best wishes!
