Can a pregnancy blood test detect if you are pregnant if you are having your period?
I'm thinking about getting a pregnancy blood test for several reasons. Well for 1 I'm hearing from several women that you can have a period or what they call (Vaginal Bleeding) while pregnant up until 5 sometimes the whole 9 months. 2nd my older sister and 2 friends of mine have experienced this. 3rd for the last 3-4 months I have been having 2 and 3 day periods when they normally last 4-5 days. I know things change with your cycle but I need advice.
PS. Me and my Husband are not using protection either

yes -see your gyn for STD testing and an exam.
Since your sister experienced vaginal bleeding during a pregnancy it is a possibility that you could experience the same thing. A blood test will definitely be positive regardless of the bleeding if you are pregnant and a home pregnancy test should also show a positive result if you are pregnant.
Yes, a blood test or a urine test will tell you if you are pregnant. While it is possible to have bleeding during pregnancy, it’s not the norm. The vast majority of women do not have monthly bleeding during pregnancy. If you are bleeding for 2-3 days then you are most likely not pregnant, but any regular pregnancy test would be able to confirm a pregnancy at this point.
