The home fertility test gives you an indication of the size of your egg reservoir by measuring how much FSH hormone you produce on the third day of your period. It does not tell you if you are ovulating, or whether there are any other barriers to getting pregnant.
It’s very important on this test to know which is the test line and which is the reference line. If yours is the First Response test, take a look at the diagram at the link below. The test on the left is “normal FSH”, and the one on the right is “elevated FSH”. If you’re trying to get pregnant, you don’t want the elevated one.
when you say fertility test, do you mean OPK? if so, it means you’re not ovulating yet.
OPKs test for a SURGE of a hormone called lutenizing hormone. this is in your body all the time ( which is why you got the faint pink line) and right before you ovulate you body releases a ton. to get a + opk, you need to have a DARK line where you had the faint line- so dark it must be darker then the control line. when you get that positive result, that means you will ovulate within the next 24-48 hours.
