How much larger did your breasts get when you were pregnant?

21

I am 32 weeks pregnant and my breasts have increased 1 cup size since before I got pregnant. Is it true that they can still get bigger if I plan on breast feeding? Did your breasts get bigger when you were pregnant and then even bigger when you breastfed? It doesn't bother me that my breasts are bigger, I am just wondering if it is true that the nursing bras I have already purchased might end up fitting me too tightly soon.

When your milk comes in (3-4 days after delivery), YES they will get bigger. Like, scary bigger. lol

Pre-pregnancy, I was a B. While nursing during engorgement I was a DD

Im about 16 weeks prego and i’ve gone up a full cup size.. in regards to breast feeding my best friend has been breast feeding for 2 years.. her breasts didnt get any bigger then what the had increased to during breast feeding.. they just stayed the same size and slowly went down to her pre-pregnancy bra size.

I went from a 34b to a 38c. My breasts did get a little bigger when they became engorged after birth, but not enough to have had to buy a larger bra.

I had my son 7 months ago and my breasts only increased by one cup size. I was bummed. I thought they were going to be HUGE. I breastfed for only 3 months, the whole time supplementing with formula, so I can’t give a def. answer on the bfing. My breasts, while I bf, would only get huge if they were engorged. Keep the receipts for your nursing bras. You might be able to return them if you get any bigger.

In my last pregnancy, I went from a C cup to a D cup during my pregnancy, and then to an F cup overnight when my milk came in – and my understanding is that it’s pretty common for them to get bigger after your milk comes in (2-3 days after you deliver). They will go down again when you dry up your milk, and can end up bigger, smaller, or the same size as when you started (I went back down to a D cup but never got any smaller after my milk was gone). Also, your milk will come in whether you want to breastfeed or not.

I had small breast before i got pregnant and then they got pretty big during my pregnancy and im breastfeeding now and they actually are smaller than when i waspregnant…..its different for everyone!

yep, when your milk comes in about 3-5 days after your baby is born (which by the way you will be convinced your baby is starving in the first few days but its not!) they look like watermelons! but they dont stay that huge, they just have to adjust to how much milk your baby is taking to regulate your supply. its 11 weeks after my baby was born, im breastfeeding, and im 1 cup size bigger than pre- pregnancy. good luck and congrats! x

Im 15 weeks, I haven’t gotten much bigger yet, my bra is just getting tight, I am already a DD prepregnancy, sooo I hope they don’t get outta control, where the heck would i get a bra?! lol

I started off as a C-cup, went to a large D when my milk was coming in. Now that I’m established at nursing, I’m back down to a C-cup. I actually find my regular bras more comfortable to wear than nursing bras, so I’m doing that now. I would, however, suggest buying a sleeper bra or wireless nursing bra for when your milk is coming in.

Best of luck!

mine got 1 cup sz bigger. When you breastffeed in the begining they will get even bigger because of all the milk thats coming in but then they go down a bit and adjust to what the baby eats. But they will get a little bigger while breastfeeding expecially if they are really full of milk. but then again everyone is different.

I started off as a DD, and now I’m 15 weeks pregnant, and I’m at least up a cup. I haven’t gone shopping for new bras yet, but I have to get to it! I am busting out. Someone was just telling me today that once you have the baby and you’re breast feeding, that they get even bigger!!! I don’t know what I’m going to do with them!

Erika L @ 10:45 pm #

My first pregnancy I was a B cup, before she was born I was a D. You don’t get bigger when your breast feeding, you breasts just get really full and hard once the milk comes in. The bra’s you’ve already purchased will be fine. You may be a little uncomfortable once your milk comes in full force but that only lasts a day or so.
